Most people could eat more vegetables. The trick is to make it easy, not to force it.

  • Add, don’t replace: Put spinach in eggs, pasta sauce or smoothies.
  • Roast them: High heat brings out sweetness in broccoli, carrots and cauliflower.
  • Use frozen: Frozen vegetables are affordable, keep for months and need no chopping.
  • Start meals with a salad or soup: It fills the plate before heavier foods.
  • Keep them visible: Pre-cut vegetables at eye level in the fridge get eaten.
  • Blend in: Grated zucchini or carrots disappear into muffins, meatballs and sauces.

Try new ones

Buy one unfamiliar vegetable each week and search for a simple recipe. Variety keeps things interesting and broadens the nutrients you get.
